NASA and Boeing have resolved two technical hurdles, including a design vulnerability that required a workaround, in preparation for the Starliner spacecraft's first crewed mission carrying two astronauts. The mission, now planned for June 1, faced a helium leak issue that posed no major risk to the astronauts. The successful completion of this mission is crucial for NASA to certify the spacecraft for routine trips to the International Space Station, making it the second U.S. crew capsule alongside SpaceX's Crew Dragon. Boeing and NASA are working on addressing the design vulnerability issue and ensuring the spacecraft's safety for flight.
