Due to vigorous convective cloud systems in the afternoon, Taiwan is prone to short-lasting heavy rainfall. On June 29, 2024, at 2:15 pm, the Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain special report for '10 counties and cities' across Taiwan, with Taoyuan City, Hualien County, and Yilan County under a national level warning. The impact lasts until 5 pm on the 29th, cautioning against severe rainfall, thunder, landslides, rockfalls, debris flows, and low visibility.
