Executive Yuan's Legislator Chang Shufei, accompanied by a lawyer, also submitted a request for constitutional interpretation and temporary disposal to the Judicial Yuan, which stated that it would handle the matter according to legal procedures. President Lai Ching-te announced on June 24th that the National Assembly Reform Act had taken effect on June 26th, with the Executive Yuan citing significant flaws in the amendment process and requesting constitutional interpretation and temporary disposal to uphold the democratic constitutional order and protect people's basic rights.
