On June 19, 2024, the 'Blue-Green' groups gathered again to protest outside the Legislative Yuan, as the National Assembly is set to vote on the parliamentary reform bill on the 21st. Both the Taiwan Civil Front and the Kuomintang called for protests and support demonstrations respectively, with clashes expected on Qingdao East Road. Kuomintang Chairman Chu urged people to stand firm against the DPP, emphasizing the importance of passing the 3rd wave of parliamentary reform. Chu also highlighted various social issues and criticized the delay tactics by the Ministry of Finance, reaffirming the party's stance on anti-death penalty, elder care, nuclear power extension, and budget law revision.
