National Assembly Reform Unconstitutional? Wu Shaoyu Mocks Zhu Rongtai: When Chen Shuibian and Hsieh Chang-ting are Constitutional Idiots

Reported 8 months ago

On June 20, 2024, Prime Minister Zhu Rongtai of the Executive Yuan. The Legislative Yuan recently passed a related bill on parliamentary reform. The Executive Yuan raised objections, and the Legislative Yuan will vote on the objections today. Former DPP legislator Lin Zhuoshui expressed shock on Facebook that Zhu Rongtai claimed many DPP proposals related to parliamentary investigative powers and contempt of parliament were not passed due to constitutional concerns. This implied that the proposers, including Chen Shuibian and Hsieh Chang-ting, were constitutional idiots, which shocked him. Lin Zhuoshui pointed out that Zhu Rongtai and the DPP made shocking statements during the inquiry, suggesting that DPP's failure to pass these proposals during their eight-year majority was due to constitutional concerns. This insinuated that prominent figures like Chen Shuibian and Hsieh Chang-ting were constitutional idiots, a discovery only made by Zhu Rongtai and the party now.
