The National Central Library established Taiwan's first AI librarian 'Xiaoshu' at the end of 2023, developed using ChatGPT technology. Since its debut in December, Xiaoshu has faced challenges like harassment, personal inquiries, interrogation, and insults. However, through gradual adjustments and training, Xiaoshu has transformed from being sharp-tongued to providing polite explanations and guidance to users. Library staff hopes Xiaoshu can continue to improve and better serve the public's needs.
