ABC Dental Alliance, the largest dental group in Taiwan, is being investigated for allegedly hiring unlicensed 'secret doctors' to see patients and fraudulently claim National Health Insurance fees, profiting over NT$40 million. The Kaohsiung Health Bureau confirmed receiving reports in 2019 and 2020, imposing fines totaling NT$130,000 for violations of the Physician Act and referring the case to prosecutors. ABC Dental Alliance, known for its numerous branches in Taiwan, allegedly employed thirteen 'secret doctors,' including unqualified returnee students. The case is now under judicial investigation.
