On June 21, the Legislative Yuan rejected the reconsideration of the National Congress Reform Bill, leading to the application for a constitutional interpretation by the Executive Yuan and the DPP caucus. Eric Chu, Chairman of the KMT, stated that after holding public hearings and more than 600 votes, the bill fully represents public opinion and urged President Lai Ching-te to carefully consider not causing further disturbances. The bill covers various issues such as parliamentary reform, fiscal decentralization, Babiš Balance, and extension of nuclear power, aiming to enhance transparency in parliament and democratize Taiwan.
