On June 12, 2024, Transport Minister Li Mengyan reported business for the first time to the Legislative Yuan Transportation Committee, where the comprehensive National Highway Bus discount plan was highlighted, proposing a 40% discount for travel on National Highway Buses during consecutive holidays, with free transfers within the city. The plan, including city buses and HSR buses, is expected to be implemented from the Spring Festival in 114 AD. Minister Li also discussed the TPASS 2.0 discount plan applicable to various public transportation modes, aiming to boost public transport use after a decline due to the pandemic and improve bus services.
