National Palace Museum Initiates Centennial Celebration with Southern Branch Inheritance Relay After 10 Years

The National Palace Museum, celebrating its 114th anniversary with a upcoming 100th-year celebration, also marks the 10th anniversary of the Southern Branch. The museum has announced plans for a special exhibition titled 'Beauty of Edo Ukiyo-e' and the 'Ten Thousand Years in a Century' exhibition in both the North and South branches next October. By showcasing the museum's development in Taiwan over a century, the exhibitions emphasize the convergence of the museum with the times. The recent 'Night of Water Art' at the Southern Branch featured contemporary art transformations of museum artifacts, including three large paper boats representing significant historical milestones. The event also included a water performance and art installation, highlighting the museum's localization efforts and cultural integration in Taiwan, signaling the continuity and innovation of artistic culture. The spectacular water show will run until September 1, offering a visually stunning experience for visitors to enjoy.
