Regarding accusations made by Ko Wen-je, the chairperson of the Taiwan People's Party, and the legislative caucus convener Huang Kuo-chang claiming that President Lai Ching-te turned his back on them post-election, Democratic Progressive Party spokesperson Dai Wei-shan responded by clarifying that national reports and consultations are different from national inquiries. She urged Ko Wen-je and the Taiwan People's Party not to distort facts and continue to confuse the public to shift the focus away from their own issues. Dai Wei-shan also reminded Ko Wen-je to respect constitutional procedures and democratic values instead of using an authoritarian mindset to disrupt social harmony and create social divisions.
