National Security Bureau Colonel and Head Cashier Liu Guanjun's 5-story villa in Taipei's Wenshan District, involving national security secret accounts, was auctioned for 42.175 million in the '123 Joint Auction' held by the Taipei Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency on July 2, 2024. Liu Guanjun was accused in 1999 of embezzling large sums of national security project funds and interest, fled the country, and the villa was confiscated before finally being sold after two failed auctions with a base price of 37.3 million.
