Liu Guanjun, former head of the National Security Bureau cashier department, is accused of embezzling over a billion yuan from the national security secret fund and has fled the country. The luxurious mansion and land in Taipei's Wenshan District purchased in the name of his wife, Meng Wenhua, will be auctioned for the third time with the minimum bid reduced from 58 million to 37.3 million yuan by the Taipei Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency of the Ministry of Justice on July 2. Chen Youhao, founder of the Eastern Empire Group and a major tax debtor, will also have 18 pieces of land in New Taipei City auctioned, totaling 3.9022 billion yuan. Taiwan's Customs have also seized assets under Liu Guanjun and his wife Meng Wenhua's names nationwide, with the villa in Wenshan District with a building area of approximately 457.39 square meters and a land area of 153.97 square meters being one of the assets confiscated by the Taipei District Court.
