The Ministry of Finance and various tax authorities announced the list of top tax debtors, with the late stock market figure Huang Renzhong leading the personal debt list with a total of 1.93 billion yuan, and his family collectively owing nearly 33.7 billion New Taiwan dollars. The total amount of announced tax debts nationwide exceeded 895 billion yuan, with 16 cases totaling 31.97 billion yuan written off. Among the businesses, the Hyatt Hotels owed over 21.8 billion yuan, maintaining the top position. The number of cases decreased by 16 compared to 2023, amounting to 895.12 billion yuan. The Ministry emphasized the importance of clearing tax debts and cooperation with the Ministry of Justice to ensure compliance and enforcement.
