Premier Su Tseng-chang responds to the controversy surrounding the National Treasury Administration's announcement of an average salary by suggesting a more suitable calculation method, such as using the median, during questioning at the Legislative Yuan. The administration reported that the average regular salary for all employed workers in the first four months of the year was 46,105 yuan, and when including bonuses and overtime pay, the average real wage reached 63,482 yuan. Su Tseng-chang acknowledged the need for a better calculation method to accurately represent people's earnings more fairly.
