The amendment to the Public Officials Election and Recall Act, which increases the recall threshold to 'votes obtained in the election +1 vote,' will be reviewed at the Interior Committee meeting on Thursday. The Nationalist Party group aims to pass the amendment swiftly, hoping for an extraordinary session by the end of August if societal conditions allow. The amendment seeks to reflect the electoral support base during elections, without raising the current recall threshold. Efforts are being made to secure support from other parties, especially the People's Party. If the review cannot be completed on Thursday, the amendment may be processed after the October interpellation session, with the target of completing it by the end of the year.
