Reported 12 months ago

Recently, there has been a shortage of intravenous solutions and even COVID-19 medications. Nationalist Party legislator Li Yanxiu criticized the Ministry of Health for insufficient drugs, mentioning shortages of cholesterol-lowering drug 'Lipitor', diabetes medication 'Airtum', and other essential medicines. The legislator raised concerns about the continuous drug shortages despite government assurances to stabilize drug supplies. Li also highlighted the high cost of importing saline solution under the national health insurance, with each unit costing up to 82 yuan. These ongoing issues have put the public's health at risk and misused healthcare resources.
