On June 13, 2024, legislator Hsü Chiao-hsin of the Nationalist Party is implicated in a fraud case where Taiwan Forward Party suspects him of using his authority to assist his mother-in-law in obtaining loans from banks fraudulently. They allege that the loan funds were passed on to his aunt, among others. The Northern Procuratorate is now investigating this case separately. This comes as part of a larger investment fraud investigation where approximately NT$27 million illicit flow is estimated. Additionally, Hsü Chiao-hsin's alleged involvement in fraudulent loan activities with Taipei Fubon Bank during his time as a Taipei City councilor is also being probed separately by the procuratorate. Hsü Chiao-hsin denies the allegations and is urging the authorities to uncover the truth through a fair investigation.
