During a press conference held by the Nationalist Party, New Taipei City councilor Jiang Yi-chen, Nationalist Party deputy spokesperson Kang Chin-yu, and Deng Kai-hsun were in attendance. The debate arose when Nationalist Party legislator Chen Yu-chen was reportedly listening outside a Democratic Progressive Party press conference, leading to a confrontation with DPP legislator Wu Si-yao. In support, Nationalist Party legislator Hsu Chiao-Hsin also stood outside the DPP caucus in solidarity with Chen Yu-chen. The Nationalist Party questioned whether Chen Yu-chen and Hsu Chiao-Hsin needed this kind of attention, emphasizing the need for evidence before making accusations.
