The Nationalist Party filed a complaint to the Control Yuan last year accusing the Ministry of Agriculture of involvement in the SuperSoy egg purchase case, alleging corruption and dereliction of duty. With the enhanced parliamentary powers in effect, the Nationalist Party's think tank has compiled a report detailing 17 issues concerning the SuperSoy egg import case, awaiting further investigation to clarify the wrongdoing and truth. The issues range from the need for outsourcing, hasty selection of importers, unreasonable SuperSoy pricing, to financial disputes and discrepancies in contracts, impacting egg imports, domestic egg market, and egg processing factories.
