Nationalist Party to Hold 'Parliamentary Reform Briefing Sessions' Nationwide Starting June 15, Aims to Spread Awareness and Correct Information on Parliamentary Reform

Reported 11 months ago

The Nationalist Party plans to counter the Democratic Progressive Party's distortion of parliamentary reform by organizing large 'Parliamentary Reform Briefing Sessions' in at least one major city in each of the 22 counties and cities starting from Tainan on June 15. The party aims to actively promote the necessity and correct information regarding parliamentary reform, highlighting that democracy should follow public opinion, and the true voice of Taiwan lies with each voter. The sessions will feature local lawmakers explaining the importance and legitimacy of parliamentary reform, emphasizing the need for a balanced and democratic parliament that can effectively supervise the government. Criticizing the DPP for avoiding parliamentary oversight and attempting to obstruct the reform, the Nationalist Party believes that the DPP is afraid of the reform's power and intends to resist all transparent legislation in the Legislative Yuan.
