The opposition party is promoting the amendment of the Legislative Yuan's Exercise of Powers Act, sparking backlash from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party, who plans to promote 'parliament empowerment' in rural areas. Nationalist Party legislator Wang Hung-wei stated they will also hold large-scale street lectures in 22 counties and cities, emphasizing that parliament reform should not be distorted by the DPP. The party will communicate directly with the public, with the first talk scheduled in President Lai Ching-te's hometown of Tainan in mid-June, aiming to address issues of privilege, truth, and malpractice.
