Youth Daily, July 1, 2024, 12:00 PM Reporter Lai Ming-lun / Comprehensive report Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun reported yesterday that current NATO Secretary-General Stefan Berg pledged to seek advanced technology and cybersecurity cooperation with Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand at the NATO summit in Washington, D.C. on July 9. The aim is to strengthen peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, in response to China's ongoing territorial expansion and increasing aggressive behavior towards Taiwan, the South China Sea, and East Asia. While NATO does not seek direct conflict with the CCP, they are aware of the challenges posed by China's actions to NATO and Western interests and security.
