A former staff sergeant, Chen Yimin, at the Navy's former training center was caught in an espionage case after being recruited by Chinese intelligence agents due to debt issues and leaking navy secrets using his phone four times to earn 170,000 Taiwan dollars. Charged under the Air Force, Army, and Navy Criminal Law as well as the Anti-Corruption Act, Chen faces prosecution by the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office. The true identity of the recruiter, 'Manager Zhang,' remains under investigation.
