NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade has launched Translatable, a nonprofit online community dedicated to supporting transgender youth. The initiative stems from Wade's daughter Zaya coming out as transgender in 2020, inspiring the creation of a safe space for parents and children. This initiative was announced at The Elevate Prize Foundation's Make Good Famous Summit, where Wade received the Elevate Prize Catalyst Award. The online community aims to provide support for growth, mental health, and well-being for transgender youth and their families, and Wade plans to use the $250,000 award to fund Translatable.
