The NBA is said to be in the process of finalizing agreements with Disney/ESPN, Amazon, and NBC, although Warner Bros. is still considered a potential contender.

Reported 6 months ago

The NBA is reportedly finalizing media rights deals with Disney/ESPN, Amazon, and NBC, with ESPN paying $2.8 billion per year, NBC paying $2.6 billion per year, and Amazon paying around $2 billion per year. However, Warner Bros. Discovery still has a chance to match NBC's offer for a package, but their financial constraints and lack of nationwide over-the-air broadcast capability may hinder their ability to do so. If Warner Bros. Discovery fails to match NBC's offer, the 2024-2025 NBA season would mark the end of the NBA on TNT, including the popular studio show "Inside the NBA." CEO David Zaslav of Warner Bros. Discovery is under scrutiny for potentially losing the rights to NBC due to his refusal to meet the increased financial demands of the NBA.
