The National Communications Commission (NCC) has decided to allow licensees to apply for the replacement of Disney Channel and other channels, but they must continue to investigate ratings and user satisfaction. NCC emphasized the need for ongoing surveys for channel viewing rates and satisfaction levels as part of the approval process. The decision comes after cable TV operators in Taiwan had applied for changes to basic channel lineups, with NCC urging providers to adapt channel planning based on consumer behavior.
