A man surnamed Lin in Taipei filed a lawsuit against his neighbor, a woman surnamed Huang, due to her dog's constant barking causing him sleep deprivation and anxiety, despite failed attempts at mediation. Based on video evidence and previous fines issued by the police for noise disturbances, the judge ruled in favor of Lin, ordering Huang to enhance soundproofing measures, compensate Lin with NT$100,000, and allowing room for appeal.
