Nestle's CEO Laurent Freixe was fired after an inquiry into complaints of favoritism towards an employee he was allegedly romantically involved with. CFO Anna Manz reported that the investigation followed concerns raised through the company's internal reporting system. Despite Freixe's denial of the relationship, continued complaints initiated a broader investigation that concluded a breach of conduct had occurred, leading to the CEO's dismissal. He has been replaced by Philipp Navratil, the head of Nespresso.
