Swiss food giant Nestle aims for consistent sales volume growth from the second quarter onwards, with CEO Markus Schneider mentioning to Swiss newspaper 'Schweiz am Wochenende' a positive contribution to growth from volume and product mix. Despite a 5.9% decline in first-quarter sales in April, which rose 1.4% when adjusted for currency fluctuations, Nestle remains confident in achieving a 4% currency-adjusted sales growth in 2024 as challenges from cost inflation and reduced sales volumes due to higher prices have been overcome, leading to a stabilized situation.
