Neuralink Successfully Implants Second Brain Chip in Trial Patient, Says Musk

Reported 2 months ago

Neuralink has successfully implanted its brain chip in a second patient, designed to enable paralyzed individuals to control digital devices using their thoughts. Elon Musk shared during a podcast that the second patient, who has a spinal cord injury, has 400 functioning electrodes out of the device's 1,024. The first patient, who received the chip earlier, has already enjoyed greater independence, being able to play video games and navigate the internet just through thoughts. Musk anticipates more trials with additional patients this year.
