Chairman Wang Wenxiang of the New Taipei Kings recently announced the establishment of the 'New League', with 9 teams from the PLG and T1 leagues expressing their intention to join, and even a Southeast Asian team planning to join in the future, making a total of 10 teams agreeing to join the 'New League'. Despite the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association stating that 'establishing a third league or new league is currently not in our plans', the 'Taiwan New Pro Basketball League Preparatory Committee' unexpectedly announced late last night that the new season will officially begin in November.
