Economic Minister Guo Zhixiu has instructed Taiwan Power Company to discuss the concept of 'energy price classification' to allow domestic businesses to buy green energy. This new classification may include three types of power - green energy, low-carbon, and general electricity, each with different pricing based on their carbon emission levels. The plan aims to satisfy the demand for green energy by 2030, with options for businesses to directly purchase green or low-carbon electricity. The new pricing system is expected to be implemented as early as next year.
