On June 24, 2024, at 4:10 p.m., the Chinese government introduced new policies to foster and strengthen new growth points in consumption, promoting stable consumption growth. Measures announced by the National Development and Reform Commission and four other departments focus on creating new consumption scenarios for electronic products, such as expanding the functions of smart robots in cleaning, entertainment, elderly care, and disability assistance, and developing humanoid robots based on AI. The measures cover six major tasks involving 17 measures and focus on areas like dining, cultural tourism, shopping, health and elderly care, and community consumption, incorporating new technologies like AI, VR, and digital humans to enhance consumer experiences in e-commerce, retail, and expanding consumption scenarios for bulk commodities and electronic products.
