New Hsinchu Stadium Scandal Revealed: Soil Not Sent for Testing, Allegations of Deception

Reported 7 months ago

Last year, Hsinchu City Government excavated soil at the new baseball stadium and falsely claimed to have sent it for testing in a U.S. lab according to New Power Party (NPP) councilor Liu Kang-yan. Further revelations by Lin Shi-kai from Green Party Action New Hsinchu allege that the soil was not tested and that the stadium project, pushed by Mayor Ko Hung-an, is a political tool. The scandal also involves unverified soil sampling and Mayor Ko failing to provide test results as promised, leading to accusations of lying. Lin Shi-kai's expose highlights the deception, questioning the handling of the soil and embellishment of the stadium's issues for political gain.
