Author Suzanne Collins has announced a new Hunger Games novel titled Sunrise on the Reaping, set for release in 2025. Serving as the fifth book in the series, this prequel is placed 40 years after the last novel and will begin with the reaping of the Fiftieth Hunger Games. The announcement of this book comes alongside Lionsgate confirming a film adaptation for a 2026 release.
