The campus, known for its location near Xiziwan, now features marine-themed artworks including fish, marine organisms, shells, and seaweed, attracting visitors and students to take photos. This initiative, combining beautification and conservation, was led by academics and artists aiming to raise awareness about ocean resources and diversity. The painted staircase symbolizes student cooperation and the ever-changing nature of life, with artists and students working together to create a lasting landmark at Zhongshan University's Ocean Science Institute.
