New King in the Shoe Sector: Leiyi-KY

Leiyi-KY (6890), a newcomer in the shoe sector, debuted on the stock market on June 12, 2024, with each share priced at 85 yuan. With impressive May performance, Leiyi-KY attracted buyers and saw a first-day closing price of 184 yuan, up 99 yuan, a 116.47% increase, surpassing Fengtai (9910) to become the new king in the shoe sector. Leiyi's major clients include international brands like adidas, converse, HOKA, UNIQLO, for whom they manufacture leisure shoes, basketball shoes, tennis shoes, running shoes, trendy shoes, and waterproof shoes. Leiyi reported a combined revenue of 28.016 billion yuan last year, an EPS of 6.26 yuan, with a board-approved dividend of 5 yuan. As of the first five months of this year, Leiyi's combined revenue has reached 14.3 billion yuan, a 38.03% year-on-year increase. Riding on the strong demand for adidas and HOKA products, Leiyi saw considerable growth in revenue and profit, with the first-quarter revenue hitting 7.771 billion yuan, a 40.78% annual increase, an EPS of 3.36 yuan, representing 53.67% of last year's full-year EPS. Optimistic about its overall performance for the year, Leiyi has expanded its production capacity in Vietnam and will start operations at a new plant in Indonesia in the second quarter to meet the robust demand from major clients like adidas and HOKA.
