Wu Dongjin, former chairman of New Kinmen Life's parent company, was brought in as a defendant by the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office yesterday after a large-scale search. The investigation revealed that certain building decorations at Jieshibao Park were paid for by New Kinmen Life despite being rented out to related companies, leading to the losses. Wu Dongjin and others face charges under the Insurance Law and could be sentenced to over three to 10 years in prison along with a fine of NT$10 million to NT$200 million. Additionally, another part of the case involves New Kinmen Life providing rooms to related companies rent-free, resulting in further financial losses.
