Taiwan's stock market opened today at 21,841.81 points, up more than 80 points, with New Kinpo Group's stock price dropping over 3% to 9.28 due to embezzlement allegations against former chairman Wu Dongjin. Meanwhile, TSMC rose to 892, MediaTek to 1290, Foxconn to 184, Wistron to 106, Gigabyte to 303, and Quanta to 275.5. Shipping companies experienced a decline, with Evergreen down to 194.5, Wan Hai to 87.2, and Yang Ming to 73.4. In the U.S., the Dow Jones fell 120.62 points, or 0.31%, while the Nasdaq rose 151.02 points, or 0.88%, and the S&P 500 rose 14.53 points, or 0.27%.
