Former chairman of New Life Insurance, Wu Dongjin, was granted bail of 100 million by the New Taipei District Prosecutors' Office after being accused of misusing company funds to benefit a personal investment and causing over 1.5 billion in losses. Wu, who appeared tired, is facing charges of violating the Insurance Act. Other suspects were also granted bail, and investigations revealed financial irregularities involving the 'New Banqiao Chateau' development project. Investigations are ongoing.
