Amid a bustling housing market, the New Green Safe loans are seen as the main factor driving transactions. To address issues such as subletting and dummy households arising from the policy, amendments were approved by the Executive Yuan. Effective immediately, individuals who have been approved for the New Green Safe preferential loans by banks after August 1 of the previous year will not be allowed to reapply for this loan. The government aims to crack down on any misuse of these loans for exaggerated marketing or group purchases. Measures include stricter supervision on loan applications, requiring borrowers to sign undertakings for self-occupancy, and limiting each individual to one loan only. These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives to promote housing justice, fight against property speculation, and ensure fair and healthy development of the housing market.
