A new biography on former Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell, titled 'The Price of Power: How Mitch McConnell Mastered the Senate, Changed America, and Lost his Party,' by journalist Michael Tackett, is set to be released later this year. The book will offer insights into McConnell's journey from Kentucky to the U.S. Senate, including never-before-told revelations and delve into his personal life and political career, covering his early battles with polio, teenage interest in politics, and evolution to a right-leaning legislator over 40 years in Congress, as well as his challenges during the rise of a transformed Republican party under Donald Trump's presidency.
