New Model of Train More Resistant to Collisions, Only 100m Away from the Taroko Incident

Reported 8 months ago

The derailment of the new Express Train No. 229 occurred only 100 meters away from the Taroko incident that happened three years ago, but thankfully did not result in serious casualties. Experts pointed out that the new model of Express Train has a heavier body and stronger stability, making it more resistant to collisions. The train collided with mud, sand, and rocks, providing some cushioning effect. While the train sustained some damage, it was less severe compared to the Taroko incident. The derailment was near the 51K of the Xizheng Line, not far from the previous Taroko derailment site.
