New Real-Expense Medical Insurance System Effective in July: Claims Cannot Exceed Total Medical Expenses

Reported 9 months ago

The new real-expense medical insurance system will be implemented in July, where claims under the new insurance cannot exceed the total medical expenses incurred. The Financial Supervisory Commission is evaluating three major supplementary measures proposed by the Life Insurance Association: allowing renewals to continue using claim copies, applying separate original limits for inpatient and accident medical care across different types of insurance, and allowing claims using copies for emergencies abroad or cases not requiring originals. The new system aims to ensure that claims are based on actual expenses, with claims not surpassing total medical costs effective July 1st.
