On June 28, 2024, the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced new regulations to be implemented in July, benefiting over a million people. The revisions include amendments to telemedicine treatment methods, expansion of emergency home care plans, and child developmental screening services. The telemedicine regulations will apply to various categories such as chronic care patients, end-of-life care, vulnerable populations, and disaster or infectious disease care, with an estimated 2.47 million beneficiaries. Additionally, over 5000 individuals will benefit from emergency home care services, and approximately 400,000 children under 7 years old will receive developmental screenings. The new regulations also include the establishment of a smart decision-making system for social workers and the elimination of registration requirements for specific cosmetic products before market release.
