According to an exclusive report on July 4, 2024, at 10:22 PM, to protect the rights of renters, promote fair and transparent billing of rental electricity fees, and ensure transparency of electricity fee information, the Ministry of the Interior in Taiwan arranged a meeting to report on the 'new regulations on rental electricity fees'. Deputy Minister Dong Jianhong stated that the Executive Yuan has approved the amendment of the 'items to be included and not included in standardized residential lease contracts' on July 3, and the Ministry of the Interior is currently handling the announcement process, expected to officially take effect on July 15. The new regulations emphasize fair billing based on electricity consumption and set penalties for landlords who overcharge tenants, reminding them not to break the law.
