A 27-year-old man in Banqiao, New Taipei, was abducted and threatened by creditors over gambling debts. When his father learned about the incident, he immediately reported it to the police. Following the lead, authorities arrested the debtors, who forcefully abducted the man at a building in Xinzhuang, along with four others. The victim was coerced to sign a promissory note twice the borrowed amount. The perpetrators were detained for interrogation and charged with offenses related to kidnapping and coercion.
