A large-scale power outage occurred in Tamsui, New Taipei City today affecting 4088 households, with Taiwan Power Company attributing the cause to an underground cable malfunction. The outage, which occurred suddenly around 10:40 am, left many residents inconvenienced and without electricity. Some residents expressed frustration over the increasing frequency of power outages since the weather turned hot. Taiwan Power Company promptly responded by restoring power to 179 households within a minute and successfully fully restoring power to all affected households within approximately half an hour (11:12 am).
