According to FTNN News on June 18, 2024, New Taipei City Council Speaker Jiang Genhuang's son, Jiang Xinzhang, was accused of violating the election law during last year's election, allegedly attempting to prevent someone from being elected. Following an investigation by the Cyber Security Department, a search was conducted yesterday, leading to the interrogation and subsequent release on NT$1 million bail for Jiang Xinzhang and NT$300,000 bail for his assistant Deng Yurong. Another individual, Hong Zhanhong, was remanded in custody and denied visits. The incident stemmed from a Dcard forum post during last year's legislative election, which led to allegations of manipulation and the subsequent investigation.
